Celuk Village
Celuk is a traditional village near Ubud with a famous silver handicraft production; it becomes an identical tourist object as a famous handmade silver producer in Bali. Ubud Royal Palace
Puri Saren Ubud which is known as Ubud Royal Palace is a very beautiful royal palace of Ubud while maintaining the traditional houses that became the residence of Raja Ubud. The existence of this castle shows the soul and identity of Ubud Village itself specifically, and Bali in general. Though the feudal system has long since disappeared, it does not mean that respect for the king or his descendants becomes faded immediately.
The castle was built by Ida Tjokorda Putu Kandel who ruled around 1800-1823 AD During this time Puri Saren functioned as a repository of traditional Balinese culture as the main protector of art, dance, and literature Bali. The castle is very unique, because it has objects that are loaded with high aesthetics; traditional buildings are charming and artistic. The castle is also equipped with an auditorium / wantilan as a meeting place.
Puri Saren Ubud is located at Ubud main road, Gianyar, Bali Province. Puri Saren Ubud is 22 km from Denpasar city of Bali so within 35 minutes drive you will arrive at this resort. The cultural heritage in Bali is still preserved until now, but also really used to attract the interest of local and foreign tourists. Puri Saren Ubud is one of them. This castle is still preserved despite the increasingly changing era in which the flow of modernity almost ruled every line of our society’s life. Ubud Monkey Forest
Another interesting place to visit in Ubud is Mandala Wisata Wenara Wana. This place is called Ubud Monkey Forest. It is a place of nature reserve and temple complex located in Ubud, Bali. Based to the wikipedia, Monkey Forest has approximately 340 long-tailed monkeys (Macaca fascicularis) (32 males, 19 young males, 77 adult females, 122 adolescents and 54 infants). There are four groups of monkeys who occupy different areas in this park. In this place there are also popular tourist attractions in Ubud, and frequented by more than 10,000 tourists per month. This forest has an area of approximately one tenth of a square kilometer (about 27 hectares) and contains at least 115 different tree species.
Monkey Forest is also there is a temple-shaped temple named Pura Dalem Agung Padang Tegal and also as a “Source of Purity” other temples and used for cremation ceremony. This place is located in the village of Padang Tegal and is governed by members of the village council who directly serve in the Monkey Forest. The Wenara Wana Padang Tegal Foundation that runs this place serves to preserve the integrity of chastity and to promote sacred sites as a destination for visitors.
The most important thing is not to disturb the habitat of monkeys and we must realize it as a guest there. And have to keep walking on a safe path. Monkeys will become very aggressive when we enter and disturb their territory. Never disturb the monkeys at the forest for any reason. If you want to give food do with a heart and do not once pull it again. We must keep the conservation of nature and animals there. This area is a sacred area and there are ancient relics in it. Try to enjoy the beauty and magic of this place and at the same time we also keep and appreciate life in it.
Mas Village
Mas Village is one of the cultural tourism villages that have been famous since the past until now. Culture produced in the tourist area of Desa Mas which makes this village famous among other art, craft carvings, sculptures, and others.
Location Mas Village is very strategic because it is on the tourist route in Bali so this village became one of the attractive tourist destinations located in the western district of Gianyar. Along the street, Mas Village is found art shops which serves as a marketing place for the production of handicrafts such as carvings, sculptures and even accommodates skilled workers as sculptors, sculptors, and sculptors.
