Based to the wikipedia, Monkey Forest has approximately 340 long-tailed monkeys (Macaca fascicularis) (32 males, 19 young males, 77 adult females, 122 adolescents and 54 infants). There are four groups of monkeys who occupy different areas in this park. In this place there are also popular tourist attractions in Ubud, and frequented by more than 10,000 tourists per month. The most important thing is not to disturb the habitat of monkeys and we must realize it as a guest there. And have to keep walking on a safe path. Monkeys will become very aggressive when we enter and disturb their territory. Never disturb the monkeys at the forest for any reason. If you want to give food do with a heart and do not once pull it again. We must keep the conservation of nature and animals there. This area is a sacred area and there are ancient relics in it. Try to enjoy the beauty and magic of this place and at the same time we also keep and appreciate life in it.
Ubud Royal Palace
Puri Saren Ubud which is known as Ubud Royal Palace is a very beautiful royal palace of Ubud while maintaining the traditional houses that became the residence of Raja Ubud. The existence of this castle shows the soul and identity of Ubud Village itself specifically, and Bali in general. Though the feudal system has long since disappeared, it does not mean that respect for the king or his descendants becomes faded immediately.
The palace was built by Ida Tjokorda Putu Kandel who ruled around 1800-1823 AD During this time Puri Saren functioned as a repository of traditional Balinese culture as the main protector of art, dance, and literature Bali. The castle is very unique, because it has objects that are loaded with high aesthetics; traditional buildings are charming and artistic. The castle is also equipped with an auditorium / wantilan as a meeting place.
Puri Saren Ubud is located at Ubud main road, Gianyar, Bali Province. Puri Saren Ubud is 22 km from Denpasar city of Bali so within 35 minutes drive you will arrive at this resort. The cultural heritage in Bali is still preserved until now, but also really used to attract the interest of local and foreign tourists. Puri Saren Ubud is one of them. This castle is still preserved despite the increasingly changing era in which the flow of modernity almost ruled every line of our society’s life. Because of the naturalness and uniqueness that is still maintained to make this castle never deserted from visitors.
Ubud Market
Market is a symbol of prosperity. Bali has a lot of traditional and art markets. However the most popular one is Ubud Traditional Market. It is located in Ubud Main Street In Front Of Puri Saren Ubud. So the place is very strategic as a tourism places near each other. Goods that sell in Ubud traditional arts market is quite good quality with relatively cheap price. But to get a cheap price, you as a buyer must be good at bargain.
There are two main areas within Ubud’s traditional art market, western and eastern regions. For the western region of the traditional art market of Ubud, more merchandise sold in the form of art crafts. As for the eastern market more selling needs of daily staples such as sugar, rice and other sembako. So don’t leave Ubud before visiting the market.
Alas Kedaton Temple
Alas Kedaton is a very famous tourist attraction in Bali, especially in Tabanan. This place will be visited by many tourists both local and international, especially on holidays. Visitors will usually be escorted by local guides who know the area around the forest to see the temple area and the surrounding forest area. There is also a temple in the middle of Alas Kedaton forest which is named Alas Kedaton Temple. This temple is a sacred Hindu temple relic of ancient megalithic era in Bali. This temple is located in the middle of the monkey forest in the village of Kukuh, Marga district of Tabanan regency. About 35 kilometers from Denpasar.
Alas Kedaton Temple built by Mpu Kuturan or Mpu Rajakertha during the reign of King Sri Masula Masuli on the island of gods, according to Sading village inscription, Mengwi, Badung regency, said that King Sri Masula Masuli began to reign on the island of Bali in the year 1100 Saka (1178 AD) . The inscription uses the year Saka 1172 (1250 AD) which also states that King Sri Masula Masuli ruled on the island of Bali for 77 years, which means his government ends in Saka year 1177 or 1255 AD. The position of Alas Kedaton temple faces to the west and has 4 gates as entrance and exit, this temple has a unique courtyard, on the inside / main position (in Bali called Offal or Main Mandala) lower than the central courtyard (in Bali called Jaba Or Madya Mandala), unlike other temples in Bali that typically have inner pages higher than the central courtyard.
The ceremony (piodalan) at Alas Kedaton Temple falls on Anggaran Kasih Medangsia (Balinese Calendar), 10 days after the Kuningan raya. Unlike other temples, another uniqueness that can be encountered in this temple is during the ceremony takes place not using incense means and Kwangen during the prayer. Similarly, the use of Penjor, at the ceremony performed at Dalem Kahyangan Kedaton Temple we will not find Penjor like the ceremony performed at other temples in Bali and this is also something unique that we can encounter in the temple of Alas Kedaton. The ceremony must be finished before sunset because they are not allowed to use the lights because using the same light is also interpreted using fire. At the end of the ceremony, it will continue with Ngerebeg tradition. Ngerebeg means running with spears, with Tedung (Balinese traditional umbrella), and some leafy branches. Everyone cheered and shouted with joy to follow this ngerebeg tradition.
